The Health Professions Council of Zambia has donated hampers to children admitted to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) Cancer Diseases Hospital as part of activities marking Kenneth Kaunda Day.
The donation was made in honor of Zambia’s founding President, Dr. Kaunda, who is fondly remembered for his deep love for children and strong advocacy for education and social welfare.
During the handover ceremony, Cancer Diseases Hospital Public Relations Officer, Jessica Mwanza, expressed gratitude to HPCZ for the timely and thoughtful gesture.
“We are truly grateful to the Health Professions Council of Zambia for thinking of our young patients. These hampers will bring smiles to many faces and provide comfort during their stay,” Ms. Mwanza said.
Meanwhile, HPCZ Acting Registrar and Chief Executive Officer Mutinta Musaile, commended the hospital management for allowing the Council to share the donation with the children.
